What if a characters power level in FF7 & the Remake is determined by the number and quality of their memorys? With how expansive the concept of memory is in Final Fantasy 7, this peasant theory believes it can! I was very unsure about discussing something as strange and out there as Ayehuasca will seem as a concept to most people. I still don't fully comprehend such a complex mystical medicine, but it certainly gave me the kind of memory dive and childhood trauma experiance that made me notice Final Fantasy at a difference angle. It was only halfway through even doing this theory discussion that I started noticing how much Aeriths roles resembles, not just Ayehuasca, but so many mother archetypes across cultures. The part 1 Norse mythology vid had me comparing Aerith to Freya / Frigg by a totally seperate strand of logic. Now to see they to were Godesses of Shamanism, ones that hold magics staffs, alters fate and communicate with spirits. Prepare for the weird, prepare for the esoteric and pepper the theory rockets.
